grain hopper car end markings

  • what are the markings typically on the ends of grain hopper cars. The end of these cars are like the rear of the old F units. Few publish pictures. ;-)

Fiddling around with Google images brings up some; there doesn't seem to be much stenciled/painted there, and the reason why is the same reason you have had a hard time finding such images of hopper end - often the ends are obscured by another freight car or a locomotive, so cleaning instructions, ownership information, loading restrictions and directions, etc are on the car sides where workers can see.
From what I saw, on North American rolling stock there's always reporting marks/car number, usually brake/wheel/coupler info, and generally nothing else.
