Streamline 52960

Found my dad's train still in original box and never used. It was bought more than 50yrs ago from a Western Auto. I can't find any info out on it and was wondering if it is rare or if someone could point me in the right direction.

From reading the word "Streamline" in your title, I believe that this train is made by Marx. Many Marx train sets had boxes that read "Streamline Steam Type (or Diesel Type) Electrical Train". I'm not sure exactly what set 52960 has in it, but if you give me a list of what the engine and each of the cars are, I could let you know exactly what it is you have. Marx made quite a large variety of trains in their time, so you need to be more specific.

Right now the train is packed in storage, they're in the process of moving. I do know that the box also had Lewis Mark & Co. printed on it. The trains look like a military set.

Well, if it is a military set and is brand new in the box, it is a highly desireable and very valuable set. Is it made of tin or plastic? Marx made military trains in both. There's quite a variety of different military trains made by Marx, so when the train gets out of storage, list off the contents of the set and I'll gicve you specific values for it.
