Hi,
I'm new here, so hows the forum? I mean in a junk mail sence. Anyway, what's your favorite locomotive? Mine is, well, my username: CPR GP38-2s are my personal favorite. Ummmm how do you post picts from files?
CPR is my favorite, not to metion the GP38-2s it has!!
basically anything ALCO designed built by MLW. but to be specific, the RS10 takes the spot.
BTW, S3's are good too (see avatar).
Man, that's a hard one. Kind of like asking a father of twenty five kids which is his favorite...
But to answer your question, I guess I'd have to say my N scale UP Challenger.

Well, for me my favourite loco would be the GMD London built GMD-1 Especially the A1A-A1A trucked version, they had a B-B trucked Passenger version too with a built-in steam generator. I like the engine so much i have it as a tattoo of a 1600 series A1A GMD1 with the CN Zebra livery. Other than that i would say the ex CN GP9rm's that Central Manitoba Railway uses, some of them are 567c powered still.
CP GP38-2s are pretty amazing, I have to say! Really nice engines..
CP SD40-2s are pretty much my favorite engines, but I have a fondness for most everything F-M and/or first generation!
Other favorites are CP 2nd generation ALCo/MLWs...anyone starting to notice a trend? But those things are GORGEOUS!
I wish I could post pictures of the real things, but alas, the time has been and gone for the ALCos.... *emo tears*
As for your question about posting picture, you need to get a free and easy account with a photo hosting site. I use photobucket, and it's quite easy. After that, use img code to post them here, like I just did!

All the GP9RM's have 567C's. They were rebuilt with 645 power assemblies but technically are still 567's, they still sound like 567's. The GMD-1's are good units, pull better than an SW1200RS and have better visability than a GP9Rm but GM did not take into consideration crew comfort. The cab is cramped, can hardly move around in the cab, especially with a full crew;and the cab doors are impossible to get through if you happen to get a GMD-1 on a Beltpack Job, coupled to a Beltpack GP9RM, you gotta go in backwards.
I'd also like to add another locomotive to my favorites list. SW1200RS, these old things load up instantly, and can they ever pull.

What about the pre-Dash 2 GP38AC's(3000-3021)? Can't forget about them. 2 of which were painted green for the Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway, the 3004 and 3005.

7300, 7301, 7303-06, 7309 and 7311.
