  • G-day..Wink [;)]

Well, since where all introducing ourselves again, I best take part.

Name is James. I am 18 years old and am almost out of high school.Thumbs Up [tup]Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] I can't wait. I'm not one for sports, but I do play ultimate Frisbee a lot. Bet you didn't know about that Max.Smile [:)]

I do like to go rail fanning with friends and spend a lot of time on the HO layout. In fact I have recently finished the passenger train portion of the layout. I am still waiting for my double crossover to arrive.

Here's the thing. I model the Milwaukee Road in the year 1969. But I have recently finished purchasing freight and I am working on one of the Milwaukee's famous passenger trains. The Afternoon Hiawatha. So I am big into the Milwaukee Road.

My little SW7 switches the grain terminal.

I am also the proud ownerApprove [^] of one of the Milwaukee's most famous loco. The electric Little Joe.

I also have the Milwaukee's electric switching loco, the steeple cab.

I also have a Milwaukee Bipolar, but I don't have a picture of it since the decals have yet to be put into place.

I also have a talent for drawing.

I have been drawing this on the computer. This is an actual location. This is at Casselton, ND on the double track mainline of the BNSF, former Northern Pacific. I am not yet finished drawing this little masterpiece of mine yet, but hope to finish soon.Thumbs Up [tup]

  • Nice drawing man, I am currenty working on my skill at digital drawing, I'm gettin' there but still have a long way to go. And I almost forgot to put as part of bio, I am starting to build a 12x22 HO scale layout, based in the 50's and 60's on NYC and PRR operations in northern Ohio.

That's a nice size layout your going to be building. Mine is a 10 by 20 layout. I have begun to put some scenery on it.

This is the locomotive terminal. Now I know what you're going to say. Why is there a UP C30-7? Well the Milwaukee road ran with the UP in it's later years. So I bought one. Most of my locos are GE made U boats. U33C, U30C, C30-7, U28B, U25B, U23B. I also have an SD40-2, SD10, GP38-2, RSC-2, and the list goes on.

Glad you liked the drawing. It is quite fun to work on.

Mischief [:-,] Mischief I say. Thanks for pointing that out to me.Laugh [(-D]

Well, Max and I went rail fanning today and we saw a brand spank'n new BNSF Gevo. It was on a empty coal train. I tell you, I don't see a lot of new and shiny looking locomotives but this thing gleamed in the light. We caught the train in the siding at mile post 15.9 (Superior, Wisconsin) and we got about 20 feet from the thing. It must have recently come off the assembly line, because this thing hadn't a speck on it. It looked nice. I got photo's of it too.Thumbs Up [tup]

  • Then we drove all the way to Carlton and it went into the hole. For over an hour. We left about 45 minutes later, and wouldnt you know it, when we got to Boylston, the other train already had signals.
