  • I just started railfanning not so long ago, and most my shots arent very good so I am trying to figure out how to improve them. I live in Sandusky, Ohio and all I really see is NS and if I'm lucky some BNSF or an old Conrail. But here are some from my area and a few from my trip to Cincinnati, Ohio.

NS 9508 in Sandusky, Ohio passing the old NYC station yard

NS 9847 running through the NYC station in Sandusky, Ohio

The Union Station in Cincinnati, Ohio

NS 9618 moving through the yard behind Union Station in Cincinnati, Ohio

TC&L 55 leaves station on another passenger run in Cincinnati, Ohio

I know some of them need croped and edited but I had my hard drive whipped and lost my editing software and havnt gotten to doing it and if you click on the pics. it will bring them up as actual size and you can see the whole thing.

  • Anyways, to continue this idea, considering I have nothing to lose. Here is my bio/photos. We do this same method at Rails of the World (a forum owned by me and Jeffrey Wimberly).

Anyhow, I will tell you my basics. I own a dog - named Scott. My mother owns a cat (Chessie), one guinea pig (Harvey) and tow miniature hamsters. I own the dog. Anyhow, I am 14, live in Firestone Park, a small suburb south of Akron, Ohio. I currently have 176 HO scale locomotives and 208 HO scale railcars and photos for proof. My nearest mainline is the CSX "New Castle Sub." And that is about all the basics YOU need to know.

Me with my short hair in January, fortunately, it grew back:

Me with bad hair because of the wind, with my parents, about to enter CSXT 5245, a GEVO:

Hello there, Sandusky eh? Interesting. I live in Akron, OH!! I have been railfanning for a few years and logged over 5,000 photos last year in and around Ohio. If you need tips and places for Ohio railfanning. Ask me. I've been nearly everywhere in Ohio that has trains, including your town.

    ...........

BTW, I have photos of the same train of that NS/BNSF you have! Taken on 11/18/06 at Berea, OH.

  • Well, since I haven't been around in a while, I will reintroduce myself.

My name is Colin, I am 16 years old, and a sophmore in high school. I like to listen to music, read about cars, work on cars, and take pictures. For the outdoors, I enjoy riding street and dirt BMX, soccer (indoor and outdoor) back yard football, golf, running, fishing, crabbing, and manhunt. I practically live outdoors during the summer, and get up at about 6 AM everyday in the summer to go for a run. My family thinks I am crazy for waking up that early when I could sleep in.

  • My comrade,

It is really in your best interests not to post your name and other relating information.

    Also,

Seeing all of these posts of little activity makes me feel that I am luck to go to school near some UP Mainline track, Amtrak, and Caltrain.

    Keep up the Good Railfanning,73's
