Also I believe there are at least two other Chinese Steam engines in the U.S. working on excursion runs.
Heartland bought them but then Heartland owns IAIS. As an update from me here in the beautiful city of Rock Island Illinois I can say next week will be interesting! Friends of the 261 are coming and bringing the 261 along to haul their trainset here and then home. The QJ's will double head their trips ( someone even said there just might be you never know a triple header) to a variety of locations here in the area,
Heartland has an option to buy 4 more and of course the rumor mill is running rampant as of now in the rail and foamer community here.If any of you come down to RI during this time please drive safe and wave if you see an ogre in a jeep! ( that would be me)
Yes we are on time but this is yesterdays train
I went to Rock Island to see the QJs and 261 and here's what I got.

Enjoy the photos of these nice looking engines! Lots more of them are on railpictures, including the 2 QJs and 261 triple-heading!

No. It's just their habit of knocking off exact copies of our products.
Thanks for the pictures, Any idea what they are going to do with them? Like run them in freight service?
Of course then I wake up.
Well Let's see NS has leased or sold Sharpsburg Yard to the Allegheny Railroad, Southwest Pa R.R has the Glenwood ( B&O) Yard they both do excursions ,and use the P&W ( Bakerstown grade) .
All I have to do is to convince them to buy the engines and I have them running at the end of my street!
How's that for fantasy??
