I own several dozen videos. They are pretty evenly split between historic and current railway preservation topics.
My interests tend toward very specific topics. I am an unabashed steam fan and am keenly interested examples of excellence in the railway preservation field.

I have RR videos an excellent addition to the enjoyment of model and fan railroading. It is a relaxing way to end the day and provides a number of modeling ideas.

None purchased, but I have rented about 56 over the past year. Our local hobby shop purchases them then rents them for a week. And they better Videos than what you find in Hollywood or Blockbuster.

I all ready have so many videos on early to late steam and diesel, I feel that I can hardly find the kind of videos that I don't have on the subject. I like to find more on how to do Model RR's and clubs and private layouts. My favorites is western themes. (A.T.&S.F.)

I use videos as a resource for modeling. They are part of my research into the prototype. I can get ideas for scenery and operations. I get a "feel" for what I want to model in a way never available from the printed page.
