What caused BNSF to switch from Heritage 1 to Heritage 2 paint? I know they switched from H2 to H3 "swoosh" because the asians didn't like the circle with the cross inside. Just wondering what caused the H1 to H2 switch.

Also, how long do you think it will be until we see H4 from BNSF?

He didn't git the answer he wanted there either. No "asians" could threaten to take there containers to another port as none of them have any extra capacity. They are happy to have them on any railroad no matter if all the loco's are #666 and the logo is buda sucks. They changed the paint because they owned them and wanted to.

I wouldn't worry about the new paint scheme. In fact I don't know why everyone is calling it "Heritage 3." What heritage is it? H1 reseambled the BN, H2 sorta reseambled the ATSF. But this 3rd scheme... what does it reseamble? 1 & 2. Yeah, the 'heritage' of a 10 year old RR.

But I wouldn't start worrying about their paint scheme until BNSF goes to plaid. That's when I would start worrying.[(-D][;)][swg]

UP has a swoo***oo? Buddha Now So Fat? LOL and if we do go with plaid I want the colors of Clan MacPherson Clan davis adn Clan Scott! Good lord on grahm crackers that would be highly bright annoying and a pain in the rear to paint!
I will agree about heritage. We lost our heritage when the BN merged into the SF and vice versa.Actually all railroads lost their heritage in the 60's and 70's in my view. No one cared how the buisness ran or what pride is.
I have trainmasters who are just in college trying to tell guys with 30 plus years that they know more ( these conversations are always fun) or guys who couldnt cut it from the ground move to the trainmaster gig adn try to get back at all those that showed them they were not cut out for the job.
