That's actually a VERY long an involved story. I'll sum it up fairly quickly though. In 2001, all of the WSOR's passenger equipment (accept three cars), were sold to the City of Middleton, Wisconsin, along with a few private car owners. Eventually the City of Middleton realized that they couldn't make a go of passenger service on their own (big suprise), and so the WSOR bought the equipment back for pennies on the dollar in 2004. However, to finance the buying back of the equipment, they did sell the 71A, an FP7, to the E&LS along with two coaches. They also rebuilt the third coach they had into a theater car. The two E9's and 4 passenger cars now make up the executive fleet, and there are a few more cars on the property (including a dome) that the WSOR is looking at rebuilding to be useable again (right now they are very neglected). The WSOR also has a E9B that they got from the Illinois Railway Museum, and they want to convert back from a HEP car to a actual B unit. From what I understand though, money is running out for that project (especially with the most recent derailment). It'll probably get done (the owner really wants it, which means he'll spare no expense and make the railroad pay for it), but it'll be a while before it does (we're talking years).
The E units are both of Alaska heriage, yes. The FP7 was a MILW unit and then owned by a private collector before becoming WSOR 71A. One E unit is from the UP originally, the other from the MILW, and both made their way to the Alaska before becoming WSOR 10A and 10C.

You were saying....
LOL hand fired a locomotive come talk to me when you have driven a train, layed real tracks (man that was a pain you know how heavy thoes ties are?) or lifted a 600lbs handcar off the tracks pushed it across a unpaved parking lot and re-rail it by your self.
P.S. I am not saying hand fireing a locomotive isen't hard work.

I suppose but it got real hard when me and Kale were called to bring the 227 (the steamer) down Marias Pass in that big snow storm last year....man....going 60 MPH in some places...finall we got it together and got the Presidents train down the pass.....Man you gotta have nerves of steel for that one.
Of course, steaming it up by yourself is real hard too.
I respect what you did, as long as you respect my steam experience, as well as the fact I changed out a generator on a CSX SD80MAC by myself!!! Lazt shop guys.....
