  • ModelTrainLover, I have a Digital Camera that I use to post my pix on here. I load them into my laptop, and then go to my Shutterfly account. Shutterfly is a website where you can upload and share your images on the internet. That is how I post my pix. When I want to print them out, I just take my memory card out of the camera, and take the card downstairs to my printer. By the way, I use the HP Photosmart M147 Camera, and the printer that came with it.

  • Yup, they chopped em. You can always tell if its been chopped if there isnt a half circle under the top lights.

  • Modeltrain lover, you can also go and load your pictures from your camera and place them under photobucket. Then from there you can copy and paste the picture. Just like my sig. Kale, I need to ask, who is Mrs. Dalmand?

Alec, I thought the N&W only had Hi-Hood versions of their locos? Did the WC convert them to short nose?

Thats what I though too.........They did the testing for EMD on the Sd45s and the only they ever orderd were high nose and were set up for running long hood forward. I doubt that they would go though the troubble.......that's allot of work to chop a nose......ALSO to run short hood forward they would have to switch the controll stand to the otherside of the cab.....the MRL just uses their highnose SD45 as a un occupiable cab unit meaning they plated over the widows and it can only be operated by MUing (mulipal unit) it to another loco and controlling it from there.
  • Alec, when I looked at the pic again, I noticed the lights and that is when I knew that they did change them.

That might work!! Just try scanning a picture into your computer and see how it turns out. Then you can go on to Photobucket and sign your self up. There you can put your pictures in and then place them here on trains.com.

    Good luck

  • MRL 1744 was running around North Carolina in October 2005. Speaking of SD45's I saw 1/3 CSX SD45-2's CSX 8954 sitting LHF under I-20 with a rock train. 8954 is CSX's only SCL SD45-2 left the other former Conrails 8973 and 8974, 8972 was retired in May along with 8976. 8954 was in YN1 monified.
