  • Howdy fellas-

Richard- I havent been here cause I was railfanning!!! The sunpoked out, so me and my dad hopped in the Jeep and went to the local CP line. It was xtra fun when we tried to look for a spot and wound up on a MUDDY trail, and we got the Jeep FILTHY!! [8D]

Yeah, In case ya didn't know- I am also a Jeep & 4x4 truck fanatic!!!

Tmcc man (may I call you Colin?) Glad to see you stopping by. I really like garden rrs. They are soo cool!! I would like to build one, but I have a small back yard and I spend all my spare $$$ on camera stuff (I am a huge railfan) and HO scale trans.

Dock_661 (may I call you Chase?) What nice things to say! I really do appreciate that. I am glad that you found us. It is fun to talk to you and get to know you, alng with everyone else here!

  • Nick, I'm looking forward to seeing the new CTRG alright. I kinda miss it.

Alec, I'll be looking forward to the Wisconsin Forum too. I've got a couple of photos I'm anxious to post, from the CP holiday train.

I'm looking forward to making some more progress on the Module today too. I want to get a little more of the plastering done, and maybe even some rock casting if I get the time.

I think I'm going to head out. See ya,

    Noah
  • Mornin' All [:)]

    Matthew

No Problem. Max and I chat on AIM just as you and I do. The George and *** names are a joke between us. Every time he calls me ***, I just laugh, we are just poking fun at each other, its all GOOD. [:o)]

    Chris

My buddy Adrian (Adrianspeeder--AIM nic, forum nic, and MSM Messenger nic) is also a big truck nut. [}:)] [:o)] [:D] Between him and his dad they have so many trucks that one day a neighbor put up a sign in their yard advertising "Used trucks for Sale". Pretty funny joke, if you ask me. lol [:o)] [:D] Adrian is not only a pretty smart cookie (in college now) he is also very mechanical, a real Mr. Fix It. [:)] Look at one of his post, in his sig line he list a truck forum where he is a member. I know there are probally tons of truck forums, but just in case you want to check it out, you now can. [;)]

    Everyone

Here is a neat little story. I chat, email, talk on the phone, and snail mail a lot of people from the forum. Many do the same with me. Nick lives in Joliet. Another forum teen lives there too. The other teen is named David. He and I have chatted by email for 2 or 3 years. Nick and I on the other hand have only been chatting for 3 or 4 months, and at first by group aim chats. However, I emailed both of them and told them about the other teen who lives in their city. So they emailed each other and began talking by email. Now get this, it turns out Nick and David live REAL CLOSE to each other A N D last year they rode the same school bus. BUT neither really knew the other was a railfan UNTIL I emailed them and told them about each other. Actually, I don't think they even really knew each other that much, until I got them together. They live in the same city and I live in another state. But it was me that got them talking about trains and got them started in a friendship. Isn't that a super story? I think it is pretty cool. [8D]

If you have AIM, go ahead and add me to your buddy list. [;)]

AND remember Matthew's new forum is up and running. The old one was lost so he had to start a new one. If you have not joined, here is a link

    http://s3.phpbbforfree.com/forums/hickssforum.html

I will be posting some neat photos there soon. Stuff the average railfan does not see, but if you want to see them, then join his forum. [;)] [8D] [:D]

Sorry to hear you are sick. [:(] Get Well Soon. Remember [:o)] is the best medicine, so I will email you some jokes. [:D]

As far as knowning railfans in your area, just Cal and Mitchell. But I already have given you their email addys. Mitchell was the one who snail mailed me that really nice Canadian Railroad book for Christmas. It is a nice book but a lot of the rail lines shown in it are now gone. [:(] That is sad. [:(] [V] [:(] He also included a ton of photos of his area (Sask) and of his trip on VIA. He got a roommette, that lucky dog. [;)] [:)] I have seen a lot of photos of Canada. Canada is so beautiful in all those photos. I would love to ride VIA across Canada some day. [:)]

Jonh J- hey, [#welcome] to our place- stick around!!! Do you live in the Chicago area? If so, do you know Joe LeMay?

ohh well, can't stick around- today I am detailing my heavy duty flat car[:D]
  • Hey guys. Anyone can call me Colin, I am used to it in the other forum. I just got back from browsing at two different hobby shops, and at the one there was no selection, and the stuff they had have outrageous prices. The other was nice, had some nice dtuff, but not quite what I was looking for. Well, the land grants are now being diccussed, about 75 long by about 15 wide. My dad is giving up a lot of his lawn for it. He is not a huge fan, but he does participate. We decided what we will use for out track bed. The buildings will be lighted, a nice yard will be constructed, and of course photos will be taken. I found a nice loco today, a GP38-2, $207, in the B&O road name. Smoke and directional lighting. He had some nice Atlas, Althearn, and some others at what I thought were reasonable prices. He had an NS Dash 9 from Atlas with the decoder for $115, ditch lights, and sound would have been an extra $50, I think he was blowing them out. He had lots of diesels, and a nice amount of steamers.
