Locomotive Engineer Training Course

  • Not to mention the fact you still have to go through the training of the RR you hire out on. So that puts you behind me and about 400 others going for the next LETP!
No they just dont toss you on a set of power and away you go as you would have to establi***rainmens seniority to beable to have something to roll back to when buisness slows (just happened here had a few roll back from the right hand seat )Plus if you think those 400 plus guys wouldnt time slip you for every run you took, your crazy.
BTW MSTS is a neat game fun to play with, and like stated its tough to get the feel. We have a great engineer here Number 1 seniority date, fired steam for crying out loud! Says the simulator he has to run scares him cause he runs by feel. Unfortunately the wonks tink this is the best way, god forbid one of them tester folks gets on a real life motor! I would make sure they got an old EMD with a toilet you have to crawl into and out of and send them on the longest trip possible in 100 plus weather!( maybe thats why they went computer on us heheheheh)

Yes we are on time but this is yesterdays train

  • I looked up the law and It says if the FRA has certifyed the program than the program can certify locomotive engineers.
    Save the F40PH!
  • Yes, but the railroads still recertify them and make them work as conductors unless previous railroad experience.

  • MR coborn is correct. Your not certified till the railroad you work for SAYS your certified.
