QUOTE: Originally posted by NJMike Pennsy94, there is a (i guess) Ns caboose here in NJ that is not on krunk.org. It is a red caboose owned by NS and used on the local HO-2. But the weird thing is that it says Conrail over the number. If you want the number it is 21303.
My first post to the forum too, and I am also looking for NS caboose information. I am restoring a NS caboose--a very old wooden, copula probably from the 1915 era. It is number 332 from the 300 series of wooden cabooses. I found the caboose in NC, where it had been sitting for over 20 years after restoration was started by a man who owned a facility that repaired rail cars and bought surplus materials. I have a pretty good collection of stampings, parts and pictures that establish this caboose as NS 332, and would appreciate any information that would help me establish the dates it was in service and the lines it might have run on. I see that yours is an old post, but I hope you have the web site up...would love to see it.
