UPS Think Safety Box Car

  • Hi Everyone!

After my father in law passed away I was given this. It is from 1998. He worked for UPS for 35 years and I believe it was given as part of the safety award.

If you know anything about the car in relation to UPS or model trains then thanks!

  • A photo of the item would be helpful.

Edit: 4:50pm: Ah yes, that's much better.

  • Could you help me out understanding gauge and scale? I'm getting thoroughly confused reading about it.

    The measurements for this are 14 1/2 L x 5 1/2 H x 4 W

  • I'm not sure but it sounds like your measurements are for something that's G Scale.

Scale is usually the reference used for the size of a model and it's relation to the modeled object. An HO Scale loco is 87.1 times smaller than the real loco it was modeled after. Gauge is usually the reference to the measurement between the rails of the track.

  • Thank you. That makes sense.
