I like all of the electrics and I wi***hey had some that were still operational on some other line!

I'm more than a bit partial to the EF-4/EP-4 (Little Joes) since I grew up along the South Shore Line and saw them in daily service. Don't forget about the five Little Joes that were exported to Brazil.
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

I voted for the "Pelicans", the EFs. They had the longest life spans and the widest variety of service--yard switchers, Patrol power, helpers, time freight and dead freight power, and passenger assignments--including the best of the passenger trains. Love to watch the E57B switch the Harlowton Yard again!

Having watched the bipolars in action for many years will never forget them. Rode the Olympian Hiawatha in an Ice storm behind Bipolar watching the arcing in a tunnel was the most unforgetable experience ever. It lit the entire train up in an eerie light as we passed through Snoqualmie tunnel. That evening is forever etched in my mind and although it was 1957 it seems like yesterday. When I think of all of the fond memories I have of riding passenger trains this trip on the Milwaukee is one of my most unforgetable. Yes I remember the other Milwaukee Electrics but that bipolar on a stormy evening will be with me forever.

My choice was the Little Joe.I never saw any of the Milwaukee electrics, but I have seen all three South Shore Joes,two of them in service[:)]!

CTC Board magazine did a 2-part article(out-of print) on the Milwaukee Road in the west. It has got excellent pix of the electric locomotives. I do have the issues and anyone who is interested in a copy of the article,is more than welcome to write me and request one.

I see a "fashion statement" in the voting...not saying that it is a bad thing...just I have a lot of respect for those boxcabs, going for 50 years, pulling unholy amounts up those hills, so there's my voting statement.

I won't vote on the Milwaukee Electrics until I see some pictures and information about all of them. Hey I like to see all aspects on the Locomotives; I am so very short on this critical information.

THE LITTLE JOES ARE MY FAVORITES. I NEVER SAW A MILWAUKEE JOE BUT DID SEE AND RIDE ON ALL THREE OF SOUTH SHORE'S.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW THE STATUS OF THE 5 LITTLE JOES THAT WENT TO BRAZIL?

I especially like the Bi-Polar. Just the absolute raw power of these gigantic machines. Capable of hauling long heavy trains. I wonder if there are any models of these beautiful beasts. If their are please let me know as I intended to buy one.
