I'd challange your last point, look what happened to CN after they were privatized!
Oh, and...I lost the game.
Go here for my rail shots! http://www.railpictures.net/showphotos.php?userid=9296
Building the CPR Kootenay division in N scale, blog here: http://kootenaymodelrailway.wordpress.com/
The US gov doesn't know how to run a railroad. except for conrail, which they just owned it.
Never run a really light car in your consist, because it will go in the ditch.
I got one...Never allow the engineer to tell you that he's got everything under control (Go take a nap if you want) to because, by the time you wake up and look over at the engineer he will be asleep too. Man what a scary feeling; hope you didn't run an absolute signal!
Merge with as many companies as possible
Let women drive the train. (you see how bad they are in cars...)
Vincent
Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.
Never choose a pretty paint scheme(KCS) over cab signals and isolated cabs.(It's really a joke told to me by a KCS engineer.(He likes the GEs better)
by the way, i just saw a E-L hopper.

I hope that your wife doesn't see this post. At any rate, I've ridden BN suburban trains in the past with women at the throttle and I didn't notice any difference in train-handling.

I don't have a wife. (how many 18 year olds have wives?)
Never back a long chem train down a steep grade on a curve.BOOM!BAM!SCREEEEEEEE!
Yes, I did this in MSTS, trying to double the hill. Never let temper get you. My engines didn't derail(why should they, otherwise it wouldn't derail midtrain.
Yes, and flying a plane is NOT like driving a train or a car.(Hey! I hit Mach in a Cessna!)
I went Mach 1 in a HHL-8 in ......MSTS(With a steam engine, so that the smoke was just a thin stream.

You can run a light car on your train, put it on the tail end. I'd like to change that then, never run an MT on the head end ahead of the heavy loads.
