After reading the first two articles on building STONEY CREEK, I do not understand how the flat top loop supports the bridge on the one side. I can imagine the cutouts to come to support the creek bed and the plaster or foam board to make the hills, but unless a chunk of already laid track and roadbed gets cut for the bridge, I don't see how it gets put in. Also, if it is a cutout, then the joist placements under the flattop are critical and that does not seem to be even described on the articles. Any insights?
