There's a site that list all of BN locomtive (roster) from the time BN was formed. I knew about this site for a while as I refer to it when painting my BN loco's and for detail. I've been researching this and can't come up with an answer for this. Maybe somebody here knows.

Now I come to you.

There 2 BN F7A and a F3 painted in a BURGANDY/RED color. I need to know what were they used for? Freight or Passenger or both. I have a pair of Stewart F7'S comming soon and they are Undec. I would like to paint them in this scheme as they are rare to me. I never seen anyone with this scheme on anyone layout. Hopefully someone here knows. Oh, the F3 in the pic looks a little bronze on the nose (maybe the sun) but still look burgandy. They are just sitting there, Not pulling anything. that's why I'm asking.

Here's the link.

http://archive.trainpix.com/BN/EMDORIG/F7A/9760.HTM

http://archive.trainpix.com/BN/EMDORIG/F3A/9750.HTM

archive.trainpix.com is the site, just in case the links don't work .
