maxmanAnd I believe that happened long ago.
I never heard of any shortages of Atlas track products before the late 1990's. Now they're just a fact of life. I remember in the early 2000's there was a major shortage of their track components, that went on for months. I've heard that has repeated sproadically since then.
I emailed Atlas asking when vendors will have some of the turnouts we need and they replied:"Try the links below. We are low on them but we have shipped them out in the last couple of months."
There were two outlets listed. One of them had only a very small number (1 LH, 4 RH), and the other didn't specify how many they have in stock, but they accepted my order for five of each.
It would be nice to know when other vendors will have new stock. I emailed back asking if Atlas has a timeframe. Don't know if they'll share that info or not.

Well, maybe if its not possible to find the Atlas code 100 turnouts they'll have to break down and do the right thing instead.
Pruitt Until they went with overseas production, Atlas track products were always available, as far as I know.

This is the Atlas shipping schedule. https://shop.atlasrr.com/t-ordership.aspx
It mentions Code 83 flex track but not turnouts. Haven't turnouts and track, for that matter, always been produced episodically?

maxman Any reason they have to be Atlas? Seems to be a number of code 100 purveyors out there.

Almost all the turnouts on the layout are Atlas - old Snap switches with the Grand Canyon-sized flangeways at the frog (many with brass track - that's how old!) to some of the somewhat more recent Custom Line with the still-too-wide (but better than Snap switch) flangeways. The Atlas Custom Line Mark V has NMRA-spec flangeways so that's good, but the club has decided the replacements have to just "drop in" to place, which only the Atlas turnouts will do (don't know why, since I'll be doing most of the work, but...).
Personally I'd prefer to go with Peco or Walthers, but that would require adjusting the diverging route tracks a bit, which no one wants to do.
There was a shortage of Atlas N scale code 55 track a few years ago.
It was temporary.

Living the dream.
I'm trying to buy a batch of the subject turnouts (for the club layout, not my home layout), and nobody has any in stock except Trainworld, which has just two - one LH and one RH.
Anybody know what the deal is with these? Why are they not available? Atlas hasn't gone the same way with their track products that they have with their locos and rolling stock, have they?
I remember years ago there was a shortage of Atlas flextrack. Before that, there was NEVER a shortage of Atlas track products that I was ever aware of.
