Thanks for opening, Kevin, and what a nice kit! Opens itself up to all kinds of 'bashlery.

I'll follow a theme here. These are my 2 most recent Ebay acquisitions, being run into the shop for evaluation, and sizing up the task of bringing them up to the standards of the operating comittee.

The little GE 25 tonner is pushing in the Cary Box Cab, made for a Hustler drive, as seen last week. And the AHM GE centercab just came yesterday. Both will be recieving serious internal upgrades.

Some possible options for said upgrades. Both will recieve all new gears too. The centercab is only presently 1 axle drive, when it does drive.

Waiting to see what'cha got this weekend. Dan

Welcome to another brand new weekend!

There was recently a thread about "why I like eBay", and before it became derailed, there were some good points about striking a mutually beneficial deal between buyer and seller.

I recently acquired a nifty kit that I wanted, not really needed, for a very good price. The seller took ten dollars less than he was asking, and combined shipping with another purchase.

I am now owner of the "Signal Maintainer's Shed" from BTS models (Better Than Scratch).

This kit's most prominent feature is the repurposed Harriman Baggage Car represented by a Roundhouse model

The kit has a laser-cut floor and foundation for the baggage car to sit upon.

Another bunch of laser-cut wood pieces make up the walkways and platforms around the baggage car.

Of course, there is a selection of metal detail parts to complete the scene. I will be adding a lot of other detail parts from my collection to augment the clutter.

The instructions said there was also a "rat" included with the details, but I could not find it.

How small is an HO scale rat?

I am looking forward to seeing everyone else's fun photographs this weekend. Let's go!
