You and Judy are having fun just like a couple of kids! That's great!!
Enjoy the green eggs!

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
SeeYou190I managed to get all the trim boards installed in the dining room today. Tomorrow I will put on a coat of primer.
Kevin, you are exhausting me with all the work you have been doing on your home!! I look forward to seeing the finished results.
TF: I love the Easter Eggs!
It has been a very quiet day today. I managed to get all the trim boards installed in the dining room today. Tomorrow I will put on a coat of primer.

Let's see.....
I'm 69 years old and I still love doing Easter eggs. Mine never look as good as TF and Judy's, but they are fun to do.
My wife and I just got back from the movie theater -- the first movie theater trip in over a year!

A good evening all
Every year Judy and I do Easter Eggs. Sometimes these things get a bit funner.
This year they put fluorescent hair in the package
P.S. And it wasn't even a half hour later we destroyed them all and made green deviled eggs, so tomorrow we can have green eggs and ham
After, we ate one of course
Happy Easter Eve

David, if no one told me what haggis was, I would probably eat it and like it.
Now that I know what it is, I think I will pass.
I love eating sausages and hot dogs, and people always tell me if I knew what was in them, I wouldn't want them.
Good evening all. A cold day. We saw our daughter and grandchildren today. First time in ages.

Good morning
I as well would like to thank Dave for doing such a great job in the diner last month.
Thank you Ed for starting the diner in Scotland and David for hosting this month. Lots of great videos so far
Really enjoyed the thorough History information on Glasgow and the railroads David. Also the bagpipe videos Bear and Ed. I could listen to that kind of music all day as well!
And Bridge number four
York1How about we each save some work and trade houses?
Too late, I finished the kitchen back in 2018. There are a total of seven swicthes in my kitchen now.
Four four lighting, one for the disposal unit, one on a dedicated outlet for the popcorn popper, and one for the ceiling fan.
SeeYou190 York1 My wife has always wanted all six lights on one switch. Before the remodel, they were all on one switch, but my wife did not like it that way. -Kevin
York1 My wife has always wanted all six lights on one switch.
Before the remodel, they were all on one switch, but my wife did not like it that way.
This is funny. It takes four switches to turn on all the lights in my kitchen. The under cabinets, center, over the sink, and over the refrigerator lights are all on seperate switches.
Good morning, everyone. It's a beautiful day out -- a perfect spring day.
During this spring cool weather, I'm going to be changing out the lights in the kitchen. Right now there are two switches for the lights. In order to have all the lights on, you have to flip the switches which are on opposite sides of the room. My wife has always wanted all six lights on one switch.
To do the wiring, I will need to get into the attic. That means I need to do it now while it is still fairly cool. By summer, even in the early morning, the attic is too hot to work in. This will be a good chance to change all of them to LEDs.
I'll get some layout time this afternoon.
Heartland Division CB&QDoes anybody else have problems logging into Flickr this morning?
I know this is unrelated, but two says ago I could not add new pictures to Imgur.
All is well now.
Good Morning,
just catching up after a weeks work out of town, whew.
Made a dent but they have a long way to go.
I will prob head back first of May.
Good morning ....
Does anybody else have problems logging into Flickr this morning? .... It says invalid password. I follow instructions to change it. Try logging in again, and it still says invalid password. I'm disliking technology now.
David UK .... I watched the Glasgow station video. Very interesting. It looks like there are more videos now.

Our journey leaves the South West of Scotland and heads over to the east side. The land of the former North British Railway. Most of the railways around the Borders have long gone thanks to the Beeching cuts.
A film of the Border Region as it is now. Enjoy.

Good morning all. A cold day with snow forecast later.
Janie has the Haggis, Neeps 'n' Tatties on the menu for lunch. "A splash of whisky has been added," she says. A gravy boat so you can have as much you like.
Today we are near Gretna Green. It has to be mentioned of The Quintinshill Rail Disaster. I shall say no more. You can look it up (if interested).
On with the show.
At Kilmaurs then Kilmarnock. See the weathering on the Colas engine.
Then over to Beattock Summit on the West Coast Main Line, ex-Caledonian Railway line south towards England.
gmpullmanAnd don't ya' know, I get the top-O-the page. An omen of good luck in Scottish tradition. Haggis all 'round!
Haggis has always intrigued me. It is apparently a good cold weather comfort food given the average temperature in Scotland. Either that or the Scots insist on eating it because they are a stubborn bunch of masochists. (Is that word allowed on the forums?). Do they serve it with gravy? I think I'd have to at least have some gravy.
Absolutely no disrespect intended to our Scottish members!!
Cheers!!
Ed: I will share in the 18 year old Scotch, but I believe I will pass on the Haggis.
We had some excitement today. Out letter carrier had a brand new mail truck. It was not one of those weird ugly ones with the huge windshield I have seen on the news. This one looked like a right-hand-drive Chrysler Mini-Van.
I textured the walls in the dining room today. It took about five hours to put up all the masking paper, and about 1 hours to actually spray the texture.
The painters are all done with the primer coat. The paint will go on the walls tomorrow! I am so excited.
This is the paint I bought. I think I got what people here told me was the best.

I could listen all day...

Sometimes you just have to spend the money!
I just won three True Line Trains TH&B slab sided hoppers on eBay. I have been looking for these cars for years and they rarely come up. When they do, they go for very high prices so I had been outbid several times. This time I told myself that those cars are mine!
These will be the most expensive RTR cars that I have ever bought but I'm not going to worry about that. I now have a modest fleet of 11 True Line slab sided hoppers in both CP and TH&B livery. Unfortunately not all the hatch patterns are the same but I will take what I can get. They will make a train that is plenty long enough for my layout.
I just started looking at all the new Trains.com stuff and in the model railroader sections is seems like alot of videos are missing? I am just missing something or did everything not get ported over?
Hello Railfans!
Top of the day to yas! Wasnt sure i was gonna make it here to Scotty-Land! You folks ever see the movie "Major League" #1? Do you remember the scenes where they are forced to travel on some rickety ole prop plane? Well, if my phone was the plane.... thats the trip i just had!
Gotta love modern programmers! Fresh out of Apple school and ready to code with crayons. It doesnt matter what they are working on - phones, puters, etc etc. One lil update and BAM - brick city! Funny thing though, if these modern programmers coded it right the first time...... they wouldnt need updates and patchs! I guess as long as the 'steal your info' part of the code works, who cares about what the software is sposed to actually do, or if it works correctly, right?
Anyways, not to be undone - here i am. A few apps short (pun intended on myself) but im here. So, were in Scotland aye? As long as i dont have to wear a kilt, well be fine. I only know two things about Scotland.... Its given us clover, and AC/DC. Thats 2 for 2 - which is thumbs up in my book! I hear their whiskey aint bad either.
Still not much happening in the train room. The latest catch from the 'Bay' arrived. 3 moderately kept Varney cars. In good working condition for $5. They need some tlc - missing most of their brake detail componants. Ive never before collected models older than I until last few years, and I am amazed at how good the models are for this era. Ill be keeping my eye out for future acquisitions.
Spose thats about it for this round. Everyone have a great day!

Charlie. My locomotive is not available now. Probably on Ebay but I would suggest getting a new locomotive from a store over here (to your requirements - DC, DCC Sound etc.) Hatton's or Kernow Model Rail Centre for example. Then contact Railtec for the decals and renumber your model to Eastfield Depot. Their decals have Westies.
https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=139
Looking at the sheet there are numbers for locomotive classes -- 37, 47, 20, 27, 08 and 26. Six types of locomotive to choose from that were at Eastfield.
Good Afternoon,
Another warm day here, we have been 10C above normal for several weeks and the trend is to continue. Very dry though,
David, I meant to ask you about that picture of the engine with the westie logo on the side. Is it commercially available? Ordering here from the UK is no problem as we have great mail service.
Think I might put the K5a, CN Hudson, onthe rails. Not a lot to do in the basement.
