My two-stall engine house, an IHC kit, was the first structure built for the Black River Valley RR. The water tower an Atlas kit, soon followed. Both structures are still on the layout.

My first structure is a bridge. A BLMA kit that going in the desert scene by the principal highway.

It was place on the layout then removed for scenery application.  Sitting on the VCR for 3 years now.

There is that little Atlas station that shows up on so many layouts. I was given it for my 50th birthday it was the first structure I built returning to the hobby.

The white building in the front of the photo is scratch built. Unfortunately, you can't see the front, but that's the way it goes.

90% percent done can be the worst place to be sometimes.  The trim is not completed yet.  Actually not even started.

The prototype: I couldn't find a 'stand alone' photo on short notice.

Thank you for the kind words. Some of the staging turns out well, but there are a lot of lower tier results too. Sometimes I don't really know how an image looks until I post it in here and see it in context.

After the rain  we get puddles.   Clear varnish  with a piece of very thin plastic on top.  Debris  (in this case tiny pieces of coal)   scattered around.   Clear varnish on the paths giving the impression of being still wet after the rainfall.
