If you drive north on Hwy 6 out of Hamilton, Ontario, it won't take too long before you begin to see a lot of older homes and businesses built with buff-coloured brick. Since the real town of Mount Forest is within that area, I decided that my version of that town should have some buff-brick structures, too, even though I'm not making any attempt to otherwise model that town prototypically. Here's the only one there, so-far, the train station, courtesy of Walthers...

Here's the Grand Valley's Dunnville station, built in the '20s with New York Central's money. They were also responsible for the grade separation project, but pulled out just before the stockmarket crash in '29....that's my explanation for the lack of ballast.
The structure was mostly scratchbuilt using .060" sheet styrene, with the doors and windows being leftovers from a couple of Walthers Front Street Warehouse kits.

Ed, is that the old interurban line that ran from Grand Rapids to Holland Mi (but not Chicago?)? I think I know where the old line used to be, in Wyoming Mi, just west of GR is a diagonal street in an area where all the other streets are horizontal or vertical, and I’ve heard that’s the old inter urban... I just had to comment that I think I may know this obscure little line, though not by name until now!

Can you imagine, civic leaders are talking about how wonderful it would be to have a rail line on this route some 100 years later!

Very Interesting! Nice to learn a little bit more about those tracks! I’ll have to look to see if I can find some evidence of tracks in some other places, now I know where the tracks were!
I can understand why people might consider storing commuter service along that line, there is certainly demand, but the question is whether or not people in the area will ride the train or still opt for their cars! I do know I’d certainly make use of the line if the timings where convenient!
