SHOW Me Something: May 2018
Posted by gmpullman on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 4:48 AM

Welcome to the MAY, 2018 "Show Me Something" thread!

This is a place where forum members can post their photos containing a view of a "requested" scene or object.

If you show the scene requested you can then make a request of your own or choose to stay with the current request.

Your photos should be of models only, not a "real-life" scene. After 24 hours, if the requested scene has not been posted, anyone is welcome to make their own submission and then make the next request of their choosing. It's all about having fun!

This is the link to the APRIL thread:  https://tinyurl.com/yaugjwox

 The last request:

More heavy equipment please.

Show me an 0-4-0 or 0-6-0

.

OK, I can show you an 0-4-0. Here is STRATTON & GILLETTE number 495 moving down the line to drop a loaded car for a customer.

.

.

I took care of the 0-4-0, so lets move the steam locomotives up a notch.

.

Show me an 0-6-0, 2-6-0, or 2-6-2.

SHOW ME SOMETHING is very simple. Someone has requested a picture. Someone else responds, and then they end their post by requesting a picture of something else. Count did not make a request, oops, that sometimes creates a lag in responses, Your request was way too specific.

.

OK... I'll start it up again with a picture and a request so we don't get bogged down on day 1.

.

Here is a STRATTON & GILLETTE boxcar (yeah, boring).

My entire Demon's Hollow & Pacific narrow gauge line, was "inspired" by John Allen's  Devil's Gulch and Hell & Gone.

He was also the "inspireation" for the Wyler's Gulch & Western

sorry..... it's a "bit" out of focus...

More John Allen Inspired picture's please.

In spite of the mess, all the scenery will eventually go to the floor. I have also incorporated 9 bridges on my modest sized layout.

I kind of put this scene together in a hurry, but I wanted to get it out there! I wish I could have found thicker ropes and posed a few figures.

.

I am sure you remember (or have heard campfire tales about) "EMMA" the Organic Switch Engine number 13 from the GORRE & DAPHETID. Well, this is my version! His name is Curt, and he was painted by my middle daughter about 15 years ago.

.

He earns his keep moving freight cars around when the power is out or fuel supplies are exhausted.

.

Show me a scene with a monster, giant reptile, or scary creature.

                                  H A !

I seem to recall that he also had "Steam Bronto # 7 , working in his logging scene, instead of a Steam Donky.

Not really model railroad related... ( but I have had this "Attack" some passenger's at a station .... once....? )

Since I dont think this count's , I wont ask for any "new " topic. so as Seeyou190 said...
