Actually, the glue you have is better! If you ever need to take up your track (yeah, I know, that'll never happen) the white glue can be loosened by getting it damp.

I have a big jug of Elmer's White multi-purpose glue that I would love to use up. Will this work, or do I need to use yellow wood Elmer's glue?

What is the best/easiest glue to use? I have been using Liquid Nails for Small Projects, but have found it too sticky and messy for my N-scale track.
