I use one of these to run mt HO 4 x 6 and run two Athern engines with no problems. I wouldn't think that N scale would be a problem and if you are running a better engine i.e. Atlas or Kato, I am real sure it will be fine.....Jamie

I have a Railpower 1300, among others. It will work OK but it does not have the power of a 1400 or 1500, but of course, they cost more. The 1300 will run two engines at once, and probably more.
And the 1300 has never heated up my engines enough for damage, but of course, I don't let my engines run untended for long periods.I think it will work all right. You will probably want another one later (if you don't already have two) so you can set up your railroad for two operators and multiple blocks.

Does anyone have any information about MRC Railpower 1300 power pack, is it any good for a N scale layout.
