<>Good Afternoon to one and all. I’m just so glad not to have to be in a mall today!

It became a great deal colder as the day wore on yesterday, and then we had snow. Wet snow that froze hard overnight. I’m glad I cleared the steps and ramp last night before it got solid.

This morning it was a sheet of ice. Had to put the crampon things on my wellies for safety to renew Rosie-the-dog’s water, and throw her biscuits on the way to get the paper.

Neal:

This salt dome is the largest in the world. It is as deep as Mt. Everest is high.
That’s some pile of salt! Makes you think about the quantities involved, and the geological processes that would lay down that much dissolved material. Do you know what the surrounding rock is?

Mark:

my PC just started randomly hitting the post button!
…Scary when they display a mind of their own!

Attaboy:

If all goes well I will finally be joining the ranks of broadband users on 22 December.
…Congrats on that. I hope it happens for you. Had a call from a telemarketer for our phone company, which is also our isp. Had a great rant at him about the lack of High Speed hereabouts. =

Speed on this computer is 24 kbps, and on Kris’s a blazing 26.4!

Luc:

I may be biased but I think she is beautiful.
…You may be, but it makes no difference, she is, beautiful that is!!!! Here’s that stork refueling after that long flight!

Paul:

However, if every day is going to be like yesterday I think I'll go find another job.
Don’t worry, here’s why
Question: What's the biggest gripe of retirees? Answer: There is not enough time to get everything done.
…Like today I finished off 3 projects on my To Do list, and it just didn’t get any shorter!

Rosie is barking, and I see that it’s dinner Time, so I’m off. Dinner [dinner] TTFN.

Afternoon all, just some coffee Janie please,

Weathers much better today than the last few, up around the 40's now, rather than close to 0.

Haven't been round much, nothin to say, since it's bout the same thing every day.

LUC, I did want to wish a very happy burthen day to the new great grandbaby. A mighty, mighty fine looken little one there.

Gots some bad news to report from here though. We lost one of our nephews yesterday, Kenny Allen 22, He belonged to Deb's sister Deana. He was specail to Mother n me and our kids, since he stayed with us a lot and was like one of our own. Don't know why or how yet, waiting on the autopsy reports. His moms having a real hard time with it today, he was her oldest. Deb's other sister, Terry, is having a worst time, She found him, and blaming herself for not beening able to do more to save him.

Had to go down to Flat Rock fur wood pellets this morning and gotta couple railfanning pics in Robinson to post for tomorrow.

Best get movin, still got chores that need doin. ya'll have a gooden

Dick: I don't get in trouble in her kitchen, it's her corral that i'm in dutch about. She has her unique way of keeping tract of the cows and calves that sometimes drives me up the wall. She is one of a kind and I wouldn't change a thing about her.

I don't know if it will or not. I like the old first shooter games like Duke Nukem and Castle Wolfenstien.

unless of coures, by "Dave" you meant to put "Dan"...

as an aside though - spybot doesn't catch EVERYTHING, nor does Ad-Aware (hence why I reccommended both).  Also, if you have not already done this, run everything in Safe-Mode, sometimes the baddies can hide themselves really well in normal mode, and the cleaning programs can't find them.  And I (generally) know what I'm talking about - CS major and all...

as for RAM - 2GB isn't enough! I "need" more, but my motherboard doesn't support more then 2GB (2x1GB) in Dual-Channel mode - shuts off the last slot, otherwise I would have added another gig stick...

PAUL:  You didn't try to re-arrange the CFO's kitchen did you? Remember what Confucious said Paul," man who fool around in kitchen, soon have a.. in jam". LOL......... STAY OUT OF HER KITCHEN !!!...... LOL

JEFF: No snow in sight up here, so it will be hard for us to send any down to you for a White Christmas..tsk, tsk. But it is only December 9th, so there is plenty of time yet, but I am getting a little nervous because the satellite shots of North America don't show any real cold air coming South from the Arctic, in fact all next week it will be above normal here and many parts of the U.S. and Central Canada.

one inch of snow would bring everything here to a standstill! And don's even think about an ice storm! That has happened before. Nothing moved for a week.
