I did see the application for the conference. It looked complicated. Can a person just go to the floor exhibits without having to buy the whole conference? There should be enough of us to be able to do something like that and here is a link in answer to the second question. I plan to be there on Sat with a couple friends from Delaware. I think Ken is going to be there on Sat and Attaboy might not be there Sat but I think he said he is going through the week. nationaltrainshow.org Ryan Have fun this weekend and everyone is looking forward to meeting you. The last two days of non-stop rain has given way to a clear and crisp spring day. So……. I just got back from eating my lunch outside at one of the picnic tables across from my work. It sits under a huge oak tree, though it was quite windy out today I did get some time to relax and enjoy the weather. I also took time to read a book; it is outdated a bit, but the 1984 edition of Megatrends by John Naisbitt is still an interesting read. His future casting was for the most part right on target. A few points he makes are not valid today, but his general forecast is on target. And he did miss some of the other major events that have taken place, the end of the Cold War for example. What’s happening in the CS today! Two days and I feel so behind! I did catch some of the Red Sox game last night on ESPN, and the last time I checked it was a blow out! I think the Sox had 5 runs, and seems like Cleveland had 11 or something like that. Hey Attaboy, Thanks for the NS research car update. A Google search on NS Research cars huh! Good job tracking down that info! Congratulations Adam, on becoming a firefighter! Just goes to show you that hard work still pays off! Thanks for the math one, truly a unique thing! And the gas price web site is accurate; we are paying around $2.90 to $2.95 per gallon for regular. Inch, Yep, soy is another great alternative fuel source. I also just saw an add in National Geographic this month for the new cars that can burn both regular gas and the 85% ethanol fuel blend as an alternative. We will most likely see more automotive manufacturers trending toward building vehicles that can burn these alternatives fuels. This is the 2nd go-round, I covered it with latex paint since the first stuff crinkled when I covered it with spray-on laquer . Nada problem though, the rough-textured Ralph Lauren 'River Rock' gray looks more like a genuine road surface anyway. I suppose I should be having great fun with this, but the recent shocks of exploding electric rates and rising gas prices have instilled this subconscious apprehension within me - now I'm wondering "what next" (bad luck comes in 3's I've always heard...) Ken, I painted my office in our old house with that Ralph Lauren ‘River Rock’ paint and it does have great texture. The walls looked like corduroy! And at the Home Depot it sells for $29.00 a gallon, not cheap, but it is high quality stuff. As always, please share some photos, I would love to see how the ‘River Rock’ paint comes out on sheet styrene. [#welcome] to the CS Jessie2001! Matt, Sounds about right with the powers that be! Always making the common man suffer for their lack of planning and failing infrastructures. I do, however, notice that all the golf courses around here have no problem keeping their greens in the ‘green’, just wondering how they are able to water all that acreage. Now I do know that some have their own deep water wells, but most water around here is obtained from man made reservoirs. And I can’t imagine that a well would provide enough for an 18 hole facility. Hotshot Charlie, Sorry to hear of your boss. Our thoughts are with you and the family. Last year was a bad year for us in that respect, I knew six people who passed away. Good luck with the career move, if it is something you really enjoy doing then you will not have a problem making the shift, and it sounds like you do enjoy it! Hey Bill, Thanks for the donuts again!
