Glen, <br />The texture is the result of the shaping of the foam. I used a hacksaw blade to rough in the shape of the mountains . Then I used a rasp to smooth out and blend it all together. I also carved rocks in some areas with the saw blade. All seams were then filled with drywall joint compound ( smear it on with your finger) . Then when dry everything was smoothed out with 60 grit sandpaper. <br /> I had quite a mess going while I was doing this. Nothing the shop-vac couldn't handle though. <br /> I plan to put a couple of coats of latex paint to seal it and provide the base color, add some ground foam in certain areas, then airbru***he final colors. <br /> By the way, the 2" foam I use is the beaded type no one seams to like. It works for me. ???
