Märklin axels
Posted by Bapou on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 4:01 AM
I recently got 2 Märklin cars and took them to the store to get axels that work with DC. The guy at the store took out one of the axels, and when I looked at the car this morning the axel didnt roll. I put a little oil on it, (was this a bad idea?), I then took out the other axel and then that didnt roll either. What is the problem?, and will i not be able to change the axels since the store orderd them for me, but did not have them, will there be a problem? All the axels were put back in, including the one the guy at the store took out, he himself put it back.
Go NJT, NJ Transit, New Jersey Transit. Whatever you call it its good. See my pictures and videos here: http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff20/Bapouthetrainman/

I am guessing the new axles are  simply some American type they thought would fit. In the US, Marklin cars are sold as Trix. They also sell the axles to convert Marklin.  Knowing German engineering, they probably have their own design which means you will have to use their axles.  Most American prototype Marklin cars come with both axle types in the box.
