Tender swap?
Posted by danmerkel on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 6:31 PM

I'd like an IHC 4-8-2 on my layout but haven't found one with a smaller tender.  I realize that "most" tenders with 4-8-2's were very large, but I'd prefer one that was a little shorter... kind of a medium sized one.

My question is simple:  is there anything special about the "innards" of the various IHC tenders that would make them unable to be traded with different IHC engines?  Twenty years ago, this wasn't a problem, but with more and more engines having circuit bards in them, one never knows nowadays.

As always, thank you for your help.
