So, what are the pros and cons of going with Marklin for HO?

Pro:
very well made toys.
Good selection of European prototypes
Con:
toy like compromises, like Lionel's O-27, realism is somewhat lacking
Very very few manufacturers of compatible rolling stock
EXPENSIVE
very limited choice of North American prototypes
proprietary system, like Apple vs PC.
Nigel N&W in HO scale, 1950 - 1955 (..and some a bit newer too) Now in San Jose, California
