Nige,
That's like an operation station all by itself. You could keep busy load and unloading cars for the switchers.

Building the Rock Ridge Railroad with the slowest construction crew west of the Pecos.
I was having a bit of trouble with my camera Sunday and it was kinda dark and rainy, but here's what I caught at Whitehall, NY (CP/D&H):
At the old D&H station (no longer standing):
Unusual all SD40-2 lashup (5 units actually), these days we see mostly GE units
A lot of fallen flag stuff coming through.
From the Whitehall Amshack Station:
Only about 18" clearance for those double stacks!

I see a lot of DW&P passing my house on the Charlevoix RR (a CN-owned short-line east of Quebec City, Canada). It's very often coupled with CN and CV equipment.
The Ontario Northland is still around after 105 years. Owned by the government of Ontario and headquartered in North Bay, they offer both passenger and freight rail services throughout northeastern Ontario and northwestern Quebec. They also offer passenger bus and telecommunications services to the region. For information... : http://www.ontc.on.ca/index-e.htm

Most of us have seen the pictures and videos from Walthers, but it's nice to see someone who actually has one.How do you like it? Is it really easy to get the containers on and off the cars and put them where you want them, or does it take six months of training as an apprentice before you can handle it comfortably? How easy was the assembly? Please keep us posted on your progress as you build this into your layout. Thanks.

Hi MisterBeasley,
Delayed response sorry working 10-4 shifts at the moment. It is pretty good! No real amazing amount of training to get going. It is quite easy to get it going and load containers, the only thing is on lowering the container it can tend to twist a little on the way down. But it gives you a challange to turn thr container on the way down.
It was very easy to assemble, I did glue the base sheets down as my layout can get a little warm and wanted the base to stay down as I guess it will tend to lift as you just push the sheets down onto the base.
Regards,
Nige.
Great stuff from the beginners and from the old heads as well. Here's a little video for your amusement...
And some stills...

That is just awesome! That's exactly the type of effect I'm trying to achieve on my Cedar Branch & Western. Any chance of emailing me a high resolution picture? I'd love to have it for inspiration!
