I would like to apologize to the forum right up front here. I got VERY VERY discouraged with this Issue, I guess in part to my Summer time lack of motivation. Here is my up date. I had to send my GP-7 back for repair. Something was wrong and I could not find it. Jerry Roy at Walthers was very very helpful and went above and beyond to get my GP7 fixed and back to me in a speedy manner. THANK YOU! I did have one defective QSI Upgrade Chip and Tony from Tony's Train Exchange got me a replacement within a day or two. Again, I could not ask for better Customer Support. THANK YOU Tony! This morning I decided that with the rain and cooler weather that it was time to bring everything back together. What a good decision that was! Everything went so well! The QSI went in fine, and started up as the Direction stated. No problem re-programming to my know CV states that I like for this GP7. Again, one HAPPY Model Railroader! tstage and a few others I had promised to get back with them and let them know about the slow speed creep ability with the new BEMF turned on. Guys, This thing is unbelieveable! It will creep with the best of my switchers at such a slow speed. It creeps better than my P2K SW9 that I have messaged to run nice and slow. The GP7 actually runs BETTER due to the circuit design with the BEMF. The SW9 actually cogs a little and it's noticable. The GP7 at the exact same speed is so smooth. Very Nice! I know I should do a Video of it. If I had better lighting in the basement I would give it a try. Guys, I came so close.....SO CLOSE to putting this engine on E-Bay to get rid of it. I was so upset over the whole thing. My hat is off to QSI for getting this new Upgrade Chip Right, to Tony for supporting me and helping me with this, and to Walthers and specifically to Jerry Roy for helping me with something that would have rendered this Engine un-usable to me. Thank you all! Chris
