Why brass instead of resin?

<P>There is already a lot of stuff available in resin for railroad modelers. Also a lot of model railroaders are not railroad modelers. Meaning they want everything ready to put on the track when they buy it.</P> <P>Brass has traditionally been the medium for collectors who want railroad specific highly detailed assembled models. These people are very proud that they can afford brass and usually leave their models unpainted so they can show everyone that they have a brass model. Every so often a member of the local club will bring his brass steam locomotives to run and as I recall all are still unpainted.</P>
