The SAGA Continues.

Let me say this up front. Tony from Tony's Train Exchange has been a GREAT Source for me on tis Problem. Also, Jerry at Walther's has also been quite helpful in this area.

Let me go through the SHORT story.

The package that holds the QSI Chip on my train seems to be slightly fractured. Looks like the pins holding the chip in are not making good electrical contact. Hence, most if not all my problems. I have sent this info to Walthers and have told them I am willing to purchase the replacement part.

I used the proper tool to remove the chip, and installed the new chip with no extreme force. I've done this as part of my training with Digital Cameras and such, so I do understand the process involved.

Now I wait and see what happens. I only hope for a good outcome on this engine.

Chris
