I have an old Bachman 0-6-0 switcher that only runs well in one direction, backwards. What could be causing his problem?

Why not try the Bachmann site, www.bachmanntrains.
com and click on, ask bach-man. Bachmann has a life warranty but for an older diesel there is a handling fee.

The most common cause for "one-way" operation is too much play between the worm and the spur gear, so that it aligns in one direction but binds in the other. If there is any way to adjust the motor position try that.
