Many of you know the Texas State Railroad is in danger of closing forever within the next two months. I'm not sure anyone can do anything in particular as their financial issues are overwhelming. I suppose, if anyone is interested they could write or email their Texas state legislature and express support, as they are voting on continuing to fund that state park or not. The locals of course have a vested interest. I am not a local nor have I ridden it, but my wife and two boys did. It will be a shame to lose this piece of history.
Riding this has been on my "to-do" list for quite a while. I do believe it has moved just about to the top.
Will write my congresscritter and I'm going to try and get down there in the next few weeks since it looks like their funding runs out on the 30th of December.
