Beautiful pictures, Dave. I'm in a bit of a rush right now but I want to spend more time looking at your layout. Great work! Space isn't a problem for the layout I'm working on right now (nearly 2700 sq. ft.) but I think the strengths of N scale just become more evident the bigger the space available (except per sq. ft. cost). Most HO layouts lose some of their impact when not viewed through a closeup lens. With N scale you can take a wide angle view and it still looks good. N is great for scenery. My photographic skills aren't quite the same as yours but there are photos on my website. http://www.augustastationmaster.com/id14.html

Dave, first, thank you for your service to this country, I appreciate your sacrifice that keeps us free to enjoy trains! Just checked out your close-up of the sharknose meeting the steamer, it's one of the best and most realistic photos I've seen. you really caught the ambience of a deep canyon whose walls look like the real thing. Looks just like you took it from a great railfanning position. Larry in Blaine WA (still raining)

Got into N Scale because all my modeling friends were in it. Too late to change now, nothing else looks right (something to do with scenery proportions). Got friends in their 80's still modeling in N, so much for eyesight as a factor!
