Help me troubleshoot this decoder--final (almost) resolution 5-16

Ron <br /> Have you tried a different loco on the track just to be sure it has nothing to do with the track? It could very well be just a bad decoder but I just can't help thinking it's a loose or frayed wires in the power pickup on the track. <br /> <br />
