Weekly email from trains .com
Posted by sledgehammer on Thursday, October 19, 2006 6:09 PM

I was wondering if anyone else is not getting there weekly emails from trains.com.  I was getting the modelrailroader weekly news letter for the past few years amd now I have not got one for over a month.  Just was wondering if there was a problem or did they get rid of it all together

Maybe you need to re-enroll for the e-mail newsletter -- I have been getting it regularly.

Your anti-Spam or anti-Virus software may be blocking receipt of it.  Have you recently upgraded software or added something such as Ad Aware?

I have Norton Internet Security and use Microsoft Internet Explorer and have no problems receiving it, even with Norton anti-Spam and ad blocking turned on.

Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing if this is what's happening except to turn off the anti-Spam or whatever and wait a week to see if you receive the e-mail from Kalmbach.  In the meantime, you'll be inundated with unsolicited trash.

It's also possible that your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is blocking e-mail from Kalmbach in the belief that it is spam.  In that case, you'll have to deal with them.
