Got my Kadee's in the mail
Posted by mikesmowers on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 4:52 PM
Just got through installing the long Kadee #5's in my new BN P2K's. I have had the locos for a couple of weeks now and they do run great (except downhill) and now I can double head them without them comming un-coupled, that just takes the fun out of the trains when they come un-coupled or derail all the time.   Thanks again for all your help on this matter.
All I have to do now is to figure where to add the shims to take the slack out of the worm gear.     Mike

'Shims' = thin metal washers added to the worm geartrain to shorten / eliminate excessive 'play'.
