Actually some of Matchbox's vehicles are HO scale. it seems the scale is dictated more by packaging. The GMC topkick and chevy snowplow as well as the Ford power company truck are all perfectly HO scale. Although you may want to replace their toy style wheels with some more realistic ones from Busch or Herpa. The helicopters labelled proper chopper are HO scale too. ERTL used to sell some nice HO stuff especially a `95 dodge ram pick-up but they don't anymore which sucks because they were nice models.
