As many of you know I have been crying about the lack of power I have had with my now dead MRC 1440 with 14VA then the MRC 2500 16 VA that Darrel is letting me use. Trippled headed BB's and a 40 car train crawled at around 20 sMPH at WOT (Wide Open Thottle) with the 2500, 1440 would shut down in 30 seconds. Bought a used MRC 260 20 VA but came in DOA, E-stupid seller is sending me my $40.00 I hope. Been watching other MRC on E-Stupid but what if a nother one is DOA and seller would not stand behinde it?
So I bite the bullet and went to K-10 trains. As luck would have it he did not have a MRC 20, I would have bought it. But, he did have a MRC 6200 with 52 VA that is sitting beside me now as I miss spell. Sat me back $85.00 but is new.
Now, what it has done for the board is not I thought it would do! I was complaining the slow speeds of the Triple Headed PK's dragging 50 cars (have not tried the BB's yet) and one Super weight. Seems the MRC 2500 was moving them close to there top speed. At first I was dissapointed with the 6200. Then I tried the trains at a lower speed, I was impressed! At a slow speed say 20sMPH they would stall out at the top of the 2% grade, not now. Will keep the same speed all the way around the board.
Hum, 7:30 and it dark, I will finshes this after I cut the grass.

You missed read the postings, it was the Triple Headed old round 12 wheelers BB's that ran at a mer 20 sMPH or so. Allso you needed to factor in the load, many of the cars have been worked and 50% roll perfect all are better than way they came but! Far from perfect.
As far as feeders, yep more are in order. A round 12 on 200 feet of track. There are 2 main lines and will have seprate thottles here in a little bit. 6200 will handel the B main, it is the longest and 2500 will handel the A line.
I all so don't think there a break in time on a thottle. But after a hour of run time I cranked it up to WOT and the Triple PK 48 cars and Super weight with a light load cooked way better than with the 2500!
Few other goodies I picked up. Got my first RTR rolling stock, Athearn 50' Mechanical Reffer Great Northern for $8.95. Fuel tanks where a nices touch. Have yet to run it but with metal wheels and kits being $6.95 what the heck.
Picked up a blister pack of PK 2000 33" wheels for $6.95 and then the steal. I rather have all metal wheels for the gooe factor but with all the cheap stock LL, Bachman and Tyco rolling stock meatl axels are a must. I picked up 80 Walthers axles new for a whole $5.00! Ken from K-10 trains all so gave me for free 30 more Kadee pockets so I can up grade more of the rolling stock Seems Ken is pretty sharp, give me the boxes I will buy more couplers.
Time to tune some trucks and work on the board.
Cuda Ken and around 210 hours with no real problems.
