Your Big Boys and my Big Mouth
Posted by One Track Mind on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 9:54 AM

Blush [:I] Sorry folks! I spoke too soon. Last week someone on the forum mentioned about the arrival of the Athearn Genesis Big Boy in HO. And I posted that they would/should arrive this week.

Last week I was informed of a hefty Athearn shipment for this week. (RTR 62' tanks, RTR rotary plows, RTR F7s, etc DID get invoiced today) The Big Boys were supposed to be on this shipment for arrival this week.

Today I have been told that the Big Boys are indeed in the USA but they have been held up in customs/delayed. Now they expect to ship in about 2 weeks, mid-September.

SOOOOO.....lesson learned. Next time if I think I have any news to relay about an important release, I will wait until I am actually invoiced from Horizon and that way we will know for sure when they are being shipped.

My apologies and I will do better from now on. Time to go eat my crow. We like our crow fried down here. Tasty!Tongue [:P]

Thanks for the update.  Customs agents are probably running them on their layout.

I hope they do a review of the new model.

Well, I guess I'm glad I went for scenery over the big boy. I would be really mad if I had to wait another 3 weeks!
I can't wait for MRR to do a treview of it.
Mark.

Brad:

You mis-spelled "Uummmm"

It's only got two "u"s and four "m"s

{I couldn't resist either.)
