The reason he did not get a bid is no one can actually tell what is being sold. It is just older items that most of us have aready. It does not bring large money. I can only spot about five older brass boxes and the LMB brass box is forty years old at least. <br /> <br /> By his reasoning, he probably believes it is worth $8000 starting bid, but no dealer wants this type of general used items and it might bring two or three thousand or even more if sold off individually at a train show.
