Bring on the New Haven Models!
Posted by David_Telesha on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 8:50 PM
I got an e-mail from my LHS that my DL-109 New Haven was in on May 13th.

They are sold out at Walthers.

Now if something sold out in LESS than 1/2 a month, and now for the THIRD TIME, what is holding up the manufacturers from doing more New Haven stuff?

Bring on the FL-9's, EP-5's, NH Passenger cars, and everything else!

They will sell out, outsell those so-called "popular roads", and make us happy! Come on Atlas, Life-Like Proto, PCM, Rapido, BLI, KATO, Branchline, Walthers, etc.!

I want to buy some New Haven N scale freight cars as my layout is New England themed. Hope your loco is a good runner[:D]

I, as well as quite a few of the guys in the Penn Central RRHS wouldn't mind seeing an FL9. Not only did they get painted for NH, but PC (both black and blue/yellow), Conrail (blue/yellow), Amtrak, Metro-North, and the current ConnDOT NH paint. I'd take one, paint it in PC's blue/faded yellow, and put some ex-PRR, NYC, and NH passenger cars behind it :)

While new locos and cars would be great, what bothers me is some models already produced would be close enouh for NH, Athearns quad and triple ribbed hopper are two models that could be produced and sell well, but they would rather sell that incorrect BM paint scheme.....hey Dave, there's always those IHC New Haven locos out there...LOL,Mike
