Why don't you just get the Explorer Series, which already comes with Sound and DCC.

If you look at the video on model rr'er, the horn is way off. The UP's use Nathan K5LA horns down where I live. I would put a loksound decoder in it.
The LokSound has a 8-pin plug, so just plug it in!!!

I didn't think the board in the Pioneer model had a plug. If it has, there is no problem.
I haven't had the shell of the model yet so I don't know if there is a socket or not.
Anyone else know before I start to dismantle it ?
All the best,
Kristian.

Of course it has a DCC plug. Nearly every HO locomotive today (with the exception of standard Life-Like, Walthers and some IHC) comes with a DCC plug. For that kind of money, it'd better have one!
