i'm seriously considering using manual turnouts in places that won't need switching often (the sidings) they're about $4 cheaper than the remote ones[tup] i'd still have remote switches in the yard(s) having a few manual turnouts would also reduce the wiring needed (not that i don't like wiring them- it's easy)-- i've also been trying to decide what passener cars i'll want for excursions -so far i like these- http://www.discounttrainsonline.com/Athearn-Coach-Santa-Fe-Green/item140-7854.html
