I'll asked it here.

Has anybody but Bachmann and Lionel made the Southern Pacific Daylight 4449? Are they still made today? Any idea on the quality of the ones built?

Thanks in advance for your input.

The HO scale Bachmann and Lionel models are one in the same, both made by Bachmann's parent Kader Industries. When Lionel lost interest, Kader move it to the Bachmann line. The same shell is still in production, on a much improved chassis from Bachmann, soon to be available DCC equipped.
Nigel N&W in HO scale, 1950 - 1955 (..and some a bit newer too) Now in San Jose, California
